The "Beyond The Stereotype" poster shows CSUSM Student Yohita Mendez Reyes an Indigenous Mexican receiving a Major in Criminology and Justice Studies at the 2015 CSUSM Commencement Ceremony. In the background of the poster, it shows Dolores Huerta who is an activist, community organizer, and labor leader who co-founded what would become the United Farm Workers. She works tirelessly to improve social and economical conditions for farm workers, immigrants, children, and women. She was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2012.
