Item Description
A Fistful of Craft Dollars for your next trip to historic Bennington, Vermont! $3oo to be exact.
Dedicated to providing a fine arts and crafts market that fosters a sense of self-awareness as a community of artists, the Bennington Arts Guild Gallery is an artist cooperative where you will find painting, sculpture and crafts of pottery, jewelry and textiles. In addition, there is a nice selection of one-of-a-kind, handcrafted gifts from local & regional artists.
At 66 years of age, Bennington Potters is a Vermont tradition. The Potters is considered a destination by both craft-pottery collectors and those who appreciate well designed dinnerware and bakeware that give dining and cooking pleasure for generations. Tour our factory to see it made. Shop at our home style store that spans two historic buildings. Located in the Four Corners North district.
The newest craft market on Main Street is Bringing You Vermont where shoppers are immediately charmed by the ‘country store’ atmosphere but also, by something more. We have Vermont crafts at their finest: Handmade wooden products; all varieties of jarred sweets and savories; candles, crafted personal care items; and of course, maple syrup. Lunch is also available from their nut-free kitchen.
Newly ensconced at Four Corners is Cake Gallery with a variety of works from regional and national jewelers, artists and fine crafters. Our workshop is in the back of the gallery where we play with fire - when we aren't explaining how we came up with our name which involved sleeping with a thesaurus! Owner Meike is happy to be breathing the fresh country air again having recently returned to the home roost after many years away in New York City & Los Angeles.
Hawkins House Craftmarket has Southern Vermont’s most extraordinary selection of handcrafted jewelry in silver and gold. Beautiful hand-blown glass and wineglasses. Browse two buildings for clothing and accessories, books, cards, wooden ware, and childrens toys. Well worth the trip! It is located in the Four Corners North district.
Mexican Connection brings Bennington to the Americas south of the border. The international flavor of Rosita’s shop is sure to please shoppers looking for something out of the ordinary, whether it’s exquisite sterling jewelry or Day of the Dead figures. It is exactly this diverse variety of imports that make a trip to the Connection so rewarding: Calavera pottery, Peruvian alpaca woolens, tradition Mexican dress, and many other handicrafts. If you call, Rosita will answer, 802-447-2246.
