Item Description
Rose Kennedy loved Boston so much that when they tore down the Central Artery, they named the resulting string of parks the Rose Kennedy Greenway.
Enjoy a behind the scenes tour of Public Art on the Rose Kennedy Greenway in Downtown Boston with Lucas Cowan, Public Art Curator for the Greenway. Learn the process of how the temporary works that dot the Greenway came to be and get a sneak peak in what is to come in the future. A highlight of the tour will be the viewing of the monumental aerial sculpture by world renowned artist Janet Echelman, which will be suspended over the Greenway from May through October. Also included will be tickets for 4 to enjoy a lunch with the curator from one of the many food trucks that line the Greenway. Experience a day filled with art, fun, food and backstories in Boston’s newest spaces for showcasing contemporary art.
The last photo is a sculpture called Seven Moon Junction.
