Zoominations — A Chinese Lantern Festival is a special exhibition that covers 26 acres of Tampa’s Lowry Park Zoo and features spectacular, larger-than-life illuminated lanterns representing traditional Chinese dragons, folklore and zoo animals.
Thirty lantern displays have been constructed by highly-skilled craftsmen from the village of Zigong in China’s Sichuan Province.
One of the largest displays is a replica of the Manfeilong Pagoda. Also known as the White Pagoda or Bamboo Shoot Pagoda, the original is a nearly 1,000-year-old landmark in the Yunnan Province of China. The Zoominations display is nearly as tall as the original, at 16 meters, or 60 feet. Craftsmen assembled the Pagoda from 68,000 pieces of traditional blue-and-white porcelain, each carefully applied by hand.
Zoominations also features performances by Chinese acrobats and an artisan market with unique handmade crafts.
Zoominations runs evenings through May 31, 2015 at Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo. This is the only chance you’ll have to see the festival that’s been a smash in Toronto, London and Beijing, so don’t miss it!

Tickets are valid for Zoominations 2015 only, through May 31, 2015 at Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo. Tickets do not include regular Zoo admission prior to 6 p.m.
Zoominations hours:
- 6-11 p.m. Fridays & Saturdays
- 6-10 p.m. Sunday - Thursday.
Zoo animals will not be on exhibit during evening hours.
Tickets are not valid for resale or exchange. Some restrictions may apply.
