Item Description
With Hizen underglaze of blue and overglaze of red this rare Arita Imari Dish is made in Japan, of the late 19th Century. It measures 8.25" in diameter.
The clear, plastic stand is included.
This exceptional dish is most desirable because of the unusual paintings of children playing at games. This is early Imari porcelain.
Imari porcelainis the name for Japanese porcelain wares made in the town of Arita, in the former Hizen Province, northwestern Kyushu.
