Donated by Ana Bishop class of 1967. THe listing is for a pastel artwork measuring 9.5 x 12 inches.
Ana Bishop is the former Annie Soto who graduated from Robinson High School in 1967. Although her career has mostly been in bilingual instructional technology and in corporate communications with companies like IBM, Scholastic and McGraw-Hill, she had always had an affinity for art. Her B.A. from Michigan State University included a minor in Design, with one of her weaving works, “Desert Sunset”, being kept for the permanent exhibition at the University. She was busy for many years with her career and family, but always found time to paint, draw, and sew. A former member of the Metropolitan Museum of Art , in 2005 she became a member of the Art Center/South Florida, based in her winter home in Miami Beach, FL. There, she has pursued her passion for painting, eventually focusing on the art of pastels.
