Item Description

Antiqv2s (an'ti-kwuss) n. From the Latin word Antiqvvs, signifying something that existed in former times; ancient or old; bearing the marks of times long ago. Syrah is believed to have been introduced into France's Rhone Valley by Crusaders on their way back from Ancient Persia, or by the Roman legions of Emperor Probus returning from Syracuse in Sicily. Only 260 cases from the 2008 harvest were produced from Gary Pisoni's and Gary Franscioni's vineyard in the Santa Lucia Highlands of Monterey County. "The earthy, spicy, slightly herbaceous, smoky 2008 Syrah Garys' Vineyard reveals plenty of blue and red fruits, good acidity, medium to full body, and a long finish." Don't miss this opportunity to add a bottle (or two) to your collection!
