Item Description
Ahmet Ertegun is best known as the founder, president and a producer of Atlantic Records which first became known for its jazz talents, including John Coltrane, Ornette Coleman, Charlie Mingus and The Modern Jazz Quartet, and then expanded to a large rhythm and blues and rock and roll roster, including Ray Charles, Chris Connor, The Drifters, Bobby Darrin Aretha Franklin and Roberta Flack.
He also wrote a number of classic blues songs, including "Chains of Love" and "Sweet Sixteen" under a psuedonym.
The black and white photo was shot by Ricky Powell.
The outer measurements are 20 1/2" x 28 1/2"'; inner measurements are 13 1/2" X 19".
