Emeraldrose Gifts is a unique and eclectic gift shop located in Bristol, Vermont. The majority of our spectacular inventory is purchased on our annual overseas buying trips. Throughout the years, we have visited a number of different countries and brought back many exquisite treasures.
Emeraldrose Gifts specializes in sterling silver jewelry. Our extensive collection is handmade by skilled artists and we personally hand select each item. We have a broad range of pieces that appeal to many different tastes. You can find a dainty pair of faceted earrings for grandma or a show stopping pair of ethnic hoops for your favorite girl. We also carry a large and ever changing selection of exotic, organic jewelry. In addition to the Jewelry, we carry ethnic and global gifts, statuary, ornaments, and home goods. The majority of the these items are fair trade or are produced by people who practice fair trade policies. This selection changes with the seasons and the countries we are currently visiting. Another important feature of our shop is, the clothing section. We carry fun, fashion forward clothes and accessories with a bohemian chic vibe. A lot of our items are made in India and Nepal where unique details add originality to the piece. You can always find a colorful new scarf or a funky new skirt.
Naturally, we carry all the important store staples like great cards, postcards, stickers, incense,prayer flags, and quality candles. Our store has the last minute quick gift for your child’s favorite friend as well as that one of a kind unbelievable find. Either way, our shop is worth the stop.
Emeraldrose Gifts is owned by Greg Newman and Jennifer Adams. Before opening our brick and mortar shop in Bristol, we spent many eventful years crisscrossing the country working at music festivals and events. In our humble beginnings, we sold quartz crystals mined in Arkansas and our own beaded jewelry. We were fortunate enough to enjoy a lot of beautiful music and magical moments.
We slowly moved away from the gems and into the world of silver. The opportunity arose to take over a storefront in our hometown. We jumped on the chance seeing it as a way to continue traveling but on a new level, internationally. We signed the lease for our new shop and immediately bought plane tickets to Thailand, our first of many trips to Southeast Asia.
On our first overseas buying trip, we traveled to the mountains of Northern Thailand in search of Hilltribe silver, beautiful hand pounded jewelry. Our efforts were rewarded and we made an amazing connection that years later we still cherish. We also discovered how much we love this part of the word and that we wanted to continue exploring.
Many years later and after numerous trips, we feel our adventures have only just begun. We absolutely enjoy searching the far corners to bring a little bit of the beauty of the world back to you.
