Spend two hours with the top leaders in the start-up field, Andy Weissman (Partner at Union Square Venture) and Adam Freed (CEO of Teachers Pay Teachers, the world's first and largest open marketplace for teacher-created resources, former COO of Etsy, and leader in project management at Google), who will provide great insight into what to do before, during, and after an investor meeting. Andy Weissman: Partner at Union Square Ventures, began his career in the Internet at AOL in the mid-90s, then managed a series of venture funds with Dawntreader Ventures. Prior to joining USV, in 2008 he co-founded betaworks, which both created and invested in social, real-time applications and services. Union Square Venture is a venture capital firm based in NYC. They are a small collegial partnership that manages $1B across six funds. Adam Freed: Prior to joining Teachers Pay Teachers as the CEO, Adam Freed was the COO of Etsy, growing the company from 140 to nearly 400 employees and opening offices in seven countries. Before joining Etsy, Adam led Google's international product management and international online sales operations teams.
