2011 McNab Ridge Zinfandel, Mendocino
Extended barrel aging of 15 months in french oak adds complexity and subtle toasty oak nuances. Rich, with an almost juicy mouth feel, this wine is well rounded and exudes berry flavors infused with pepper and spice. 2011 McNab Ridge Zinfandel is a great example of how,through minimal processing, the essence of the quality fruit our dedicated growers deliver can be preserved.

Zinzilla’s blackberry, boysenberry, raspberry, and dark cherry essences are so full and flavorful they converge to define the term “jammy”. Those dense layers of fruit blend with other flavors and aromas of chocolate, pepper and spice, making Zinzilla a BIG, BOLD, & BALANCED wine – meant to be paired with strong flavors like ribs, burgers, and red sauced pastas.

Winemaker Notes: The Berry Family’s Cononiah Vineyard is located on the Talmage Bench on the east side of the Ukiah Valley. These grapes were selected from their Cherry block, which was planted in the early 1980’s.
