Item Description
Eric Demuth's 2011 Bei Ranch Cabernet Sauvignon has ripe berry medley, leather and fennel on the nose with aromas of California coastal forest. Plush ripe fruit and dried herbs but lively and elegant on the palate. Savory and earthy with sweet and juicy tannins with a lingering finish.
Rated "93" by International Wine Report, which had this to say: "Bei Ranch is located less than 4 miles from the Pacific Ocean, making this one of the closest Cabernet Sauvignon plantings to the sea. Eric Demuth has done a terrific job with this bottling, as it slowly unwinds in the glass, gorgeous aromas of blackberry, cassis, saline, herbs, smoke, beef blood, pepper, and fresh mineral all come together beautifully. It is clean and pure, structured around firm tannins and a lovely acidity which carries it through the long elegant finish. This needs some more time to fully develop, and will be a pleaseure to watch evolve over the next decade. (Best 2015-2026)
