Item Description
Classic Wines Auction’s 2014 – 30th Anniversary – Commemorative Magnum was very special indeed: it combines the highly sought-after 2012 Ken Wright Cellars Carter Vineyard Pinot Noir with the evocative work of artist Gregory Grenon.
Ken Wright’s guiding principle is to care for the land and let the grape speak for itself without forcing it into any pre-ordained profile. As a result, Ken Wright Cellars has earned a worldwide reputation for gorgeously crafted wine whose every sip reveals terroir and the sensitive profile of the Pinot Noir grape. The 2012 Carter Vineyard is fruit-focused with moderate tannins and acidity, and aromas of black cherry, blueberry, blackberry, and plum skin.
Gregory Grenon, one of the Northwest’s most recognized artists, paints emotionally charged portraits in oil on glass. Strong dark lines set off his brilliantly hued compositions. They also serve as a platform to remind viewers of the significance and powerful profile of women, as reflected by Conceal, the image captured on these bottles.
Each bottle comes in a custom, Classic Wines Auction 30th Anniversary wood box and is signed by the artist and winemaker.
This lot includes:
• One 2012 Ken Wright Cellars Carter Vineyard Pinot Noir 1.5 liter bottle of wine, in a commemorative wood box
