The 2015 Classic Wines Auction magnums—always a beautiful combination of art and superlative wine—are etched with three, meaningful butterfly designs.
The artwork: these butterflies were created through a thoughtful, artist-guided collaboration between Classic Wines Auction and its five partner charities. The result— three gorgeous butterfly paintings symbolizing the healing and growth the charities inspire in 82,000 children and families each year have been etched on each bottle.
The wine: the 2013 Elizabeth Chambers Cellar Lazy River Vineyard Pinot Noir is a small-production wine, bringing to the palate a New World echo of Burgundy. The winery’s Pinot Noirs have been praised by critics from publications as varied as the Wine Spectator to Food and Wine magazine to popular wine bloggers as “exhilarating and thought-provoking,” “a special occasion wine worth every penny,” and “reminiscent of the great French Burgundies that started the Pinot craze in America.” And the kicker? Elizabeth Chambers Cellars’ logo is a small blue butterfly. Kismet!
Each bottle is signed by the winemaker.
