Item Description
The cutting-edge Rambler 88 will be training for the 2015 Transatlantic Race off Newport, RI in June. The auction winner (an individual) will be invited to be onboard during a practice sail on a date in June 2015 to be agreed.

After taking Monohull Line Honors for the RORC Caribbean 600 in February 2015, owner George David commented: "We were ahead of the race record (held by Rambler 100) for the first third of the race but the wind direction went against us on the long leg to Guadeloupe. Rambler 88 may well be faster on most points of sail than Rambler 100, but the weather really didn’t work for us this year. It’s a great boat to sail and race and we’re delighted."
The success of Rambler 88 continued at the 2015 Voiles de St. Barth in April as Regatta overall winner and in Maxi 1 as well.
"I’m very impressed," said David. "This boat is wicked quick and I think we’ll do even better in the future. Don’t count us out for records, including for the Transatlantic Race 2015 this summer, which we hold already (with Rambler 100)."
Meet sailing legends. Once in a lifetime opportunity!
