Russel Wright “Iroquois Casual” Multi-Colored Cup and Saucer Set (circa 1955
Generally regarded as the first “Industrial Designer”, Russel Wright created tableware, furniture, and books that helped pave the way for the new “American” lifestyle of the 1950s and 60s in the United States. His ceramics for the “Iroquois Casual” line of tableware, in production from 1947 to 1966, remains one of the best-selling, coveted, functional, and beautiful lines in history.
This set of eight matching cups and saucers contains one cup and matching saucer in each of the following colors: Sugar White, Oyster Grey, Charcoal, Parsley Green, Avocado Yellow (Chartreuse), Ice Blue, Ripe Apricot, Nutmeg Brown. Saucers are 6” in diameter, and cups stand 2” high.
These sturdy and beautiful pieces will bring a smile to your morning coffee, or create perfect punctuation at the end of a lively dinner party. Mix and match the colors in an infinite variety of combinations.
