About the artist:
Amy Bucher is a multi-published master photographer and portrait artist. After beginning her career under the tutelage of the second oldest photography studio in the country, Amy went on to open what has since become the preeminent portrait studio in Kansas City. Over the past fifteen years she has earned a reputation for creating heirloom-quality portraits that beautifully reflect the people in them. Her work has garnered the attention and business of internationally recognized philanthropists, athletes, and television personalities; as well as earning her the coveted Fuji Masterpiece award.
Her unique style; a marriage between the realism of photography and the beauty of a painted portrait, has earned her the respect of industry leaders, and her portraits have been published in multiple art anthologies. She taught photography at the University of Central Missouri before being called to the Middle East, where she spent three years in the Kingdom of Bahrain and Kuwait creating portraits commissioned by high-ranking military officials, state department and embassy families, and the Kuwaiti elite.
Amy now calls the picturesque and serene New England coastal town of Marblehead, MA her home. She splits her time between clients on the East Coast and Kansas City.
