Item Description
The Cotsen Children's Library is a unit within the Department of Rare Books and Special Collections at the Princeton University Library.
The two volumes for auction catalogue the twentieth century works in this important collection of childrens' books, gifted in 1995 to Princeton University by their collector, Lloyd E. Cotsen. 12,403 children's books in 30 some languages are cataloged and described.
The volumes are first edition, and they are profusely illustrated with color and black and white reproductions. They feature gilt front cover designs and leather spine labels. The bindings are green ribbed silk over boards.
