Plus, you will learn about life in Philadelphia during the war years, get insight about the flag made by Betsy Ross, and find out why cobblestone roads are intentionally designed to be rough and bumpy. Without a doubt your tour with Philadelphia Personal Tours will be one of the best you have ever taken. All tours are subject to availability.

City Tavern "A Triumph of Tradition" (Philadelphia)
Enjoy a $100 gift card towards dining. The Chef and Proprietor, Walter Staib, is from the Black Forest region of Germany and offers award winning cuisine. The menu is a mixture of both contemporary and 1800 century meals, including the soup that George Washington fed his soldiers after crossing the Delaware River in 1776. This is the tavern where Washington first met Lafayette, where Franklin first met John and Sam Adams, and where Paul Revere arrived to announce the British Embargo of the city of Boston.
