Item Description
KPCC’s very own Hettie Lynne Hurtes will prepare a vegan dinner for you and a guest at her lovely home in Los Angeles.
But wait! There’s more - much more! Your special dinner companions for the evening will be Leonard Maltin, one of the most recognizable faces in television, and his lovely wife, Alice.
From decades of covering the movie and pop culture beat, Leonard has become a part of popular culture himself—caricatured in a famous South Park episode, cited as a puzzle answer on Wheel of Fortune, referenced on The Sopranos, and named by no less an authority than Marge Simpson as the best-looking film critic of them all.
This comes on the heels of a long career as critic and historian. A thirty-year stint on the hit TV show Entertainment Tonight introduced him to a vast new audience, as both critic and interviewer. Leonard has been the on-camera movie expert for DirecTV, Comcast, Starz, and Encore and also served six years as film critic for Playboy magazine.
He currently appears on ReelzChannel, where his weekly shows Secret’s Out and Maltin on Movies have enjoyed long runs. His books include The Disney Films, Of Mice and Magic: A History of American Animated Cartoons, and Leonard Maltin’s 151 Best Movies You’ve Never Seen. His articles have appeared in such publications as The New York Times, Esquire, and Smithsonian.
You and your lucky guest will have an unforgettable experience with Leonard. Hettie, and their lovely spouses. It promises to be a special evening filled with interesting and inspiring conversation, healthy and delicious food, and of course, wine!
As an added bonus, each guest will have their own personalized wine glass donated by Phoenix Raising Art.
Scheduling based on availability.
Experience must be scheduled within 6 months of purchase date.
