Monologue Coaching for Young People with Sarah Abrams (Two 45-minute sessions)
Two 45-minute coaching sessions with The Shakespeare Society's Education Director, Sarah Abrams. These one-on-one sessions are intended for the young person preparing a Shakespearean or classical piece of text. Great for a middle school student preparing to audition for a Theatre Arts Program in High School, for the High School Senior applying to conservatory program, or for the enthusiastic young actor looking for techniques to unlock the Bard's language!
Sarah Abrams has served as the Education Director of The Shakespeare Society since 2013. She has worked in the theatre and in arts education in several capacities as an actor, director, playwright and teaching artist. She has taught theatre through such organizations as BAM and The Town Hall, and served as the director and artistic-coordinator of an arts-integration theatre program at the English Village in Paju, South Korea. Sarah has led theatre education professional development sessions locally, nationally and internationally for arts education conferences and private organizations, big and small. She holds her BFA in Acting from Boston University, a Classical Acting Certification from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts (LAMDA) and a Masters in Educational Theatre from the City College of New York, CUNY.
