What are Architectural Design Services?

I do everything from helping to redesign a space or creating a “new” space to helping to choose a new paint color or a material for the floor! So if you have a project in mind, bid on a consultation and we can disuss the project and get it moving in a forward direction!

Working with you on either a new or renovation project, I will help you visualize your needs and desires through sketches and discussions of concepts. I can also help give you a personal solution to a stock design or image that you have chosen from a book or magazine. I can provide you with design sketches or full construction drawings; the goal being to provide solutions that ultimately help you to attain a well designed project.

Once the building project is underway, I can guide you through the detailing process, helping you with the visual coordination of your project. This may include meeting at showrooms and product locales to visually show you what aesthetic choices (color, material, and products) are available and how they work together.

Working with the “small house” concept of efficient use of space, I can help you attain the feeling of a larger space within your area constraints. I also have experience and understanding with “Eco Friendly Design” and in specifying products that are “kind” to the environment.

Who is Elizabeth Brody?

I am an architectural designer who has been working in the Burlington area in large and small architectural firms for the past 15 years. I enjoy working on small renovation/addition projects-- kitchens, bathrooms, additions, as well as any interior design services that are desired (paint color, finishes, furnishings, etc). Since I have been living/working in Burlington for many years, I have a network of gifted builders that I can call on to price and/or carry a project from start to finish. If you have a builder in mind, I am happy to work with them and coordinate any design ideas necessary for a successful project.

I hold a Master of Architecture (1994) from North Carolina State University and have 15+ years of experience working in large and small architectural firms in the Burlington area as well as working on my own. I am also an Ohavi Zedek member and parent to Rebecca and Louis.
