San Francisco bar professionals are recognized in the spirits industry for both innovation and attention to service, and are known for reviving lost recipes, originating some of the classics, and being the first to feature farm-fresh produce in cocktails. The Bay Area even has a pretty good claim on being the birthplace of the Martini, but you'll have to join the tour for that story. Visit some of the greatest cocktail bars in the nation, hidden away in the heart of downtown San Francisco and meet master mixologists who will give you the industry insight into what makes this city's cocktail bars some of the best. We will sip and snack our way through some of the most widely renowned establishments and closely guarded local secrets, and chat with the bartenders who dare blend artistry with chemistry to bring you some tantalizing tipples. Tastes encompass a variety of spirits and styles, including market-fresh cocktails, long-forgotten classics, and the latest innovative trends like bottled cocktails and cocktails "on tap."

Thursday, Sept 24th come join us in San Francisco from 6-9pm. We'll depart from Menlo Park at 5pm on a chartered 15 passenger van and head for the city. In San Francisco some of our stops may include Cafe Royale, Cantina, Trocadero Club, Rye & Tradition. Come join us for a fun evening of action and adventure!

Your guide for the evening is the ever enchanting, Quinn. A Vermonter who moved to San Francisco in 2005, mostly for the food, Quinn is a teacher, writer, photographer, artist and designer. He focuses much of his creative energy on food and beverage, writing for a number of national and online publications about restaurant and bar trends. He's always on the lookout a for a great bánh mì and can talk your ear off about where to get the best cocktails in town.

Our resident cocktail connoisseur Quinn will lead the group on an intimate extended happy hour, where you’ll meet master mixologists as you sip and snack your way through downtown San Francisco. Savor a classic pisco punch at Cantina; slurp up a smoky tequila drink with a kick at Café Royale; experience sweet, savory, and bitter all at once at Rx; and enjoy an off-the-menu treat at Rye, including a basil gimlet and seasonal cocktail.

Don’t worry, we won’t send you stumbling home—our tour also includes delicious bites from neighborhood destinations, including bahn mi sandwiches, crackers, and spreads.
