You'll spend a delight-filled day at the Children's Museum of New Hampshire, located in Dover, NH. The Children's Museum is an educational center exploring art, science & culture via interactive exhibits for kids & families. Here is a sampling of activities sure to engage children of all ages!
- Fascinated by flight? Learn about aerodynamics and exercise your creativity in our Build It, Fly It exhibit.
- Put on an explorer's vest and use your attached Cave-Light to read glow-in-the-dark books and find cave paintings. You can even draw your own glowing cave paintings!
- The First Impressions pinscreen is one of our most popular exhibits! Step up and press your face, arm or leg into the field of soft plastic pins and see what happens on the other side. Press them back out and start again and again.
- Explore and experiment with Music Matrix, an interactive sound sculpture full of shapes and colors. By gently placing your hands flat on different areas of the wall, you will magically create 40 different musical sounds. Combine the sounds to compose your own music, or "jam" with your friends.
- Look across to Sound Watch to see what sound waves look like. As you place your hand on each Music Matrix panel, corresponding sound waves dance across a plasma TV screen at different frequencies and illuminate a network of brightly-colored, pulsating lights.
