Item Description
The original art piece entitled CREATE II was designed by fiber artist, Theresa Early Curd, a resident of the North Carolina Appalachian region. Dr. Early Curd was a mathematics Professor at Appalachian State University (Boone, NC) in "her previous life". As an artist, Theresa uses fabric embellished by quilting, painting and other surface designs to create hanging art pieces. She is especially inspired by geometric and folk art designs. This specific piece, CREATE II, could be described as an exploration of creativity through color, image, words and texture.
It was shown in a recent Ashe County Arts Council Show, TEXTURES, and purchased by a longtime CEF member as a gift to the CEF Auction.
