Item Description

Theatre By The Sea is a picturesque summer stock barn theatre located on Rhode Island's Southern Shore that produces Broadway's favorite musicals and plays.

This offering includes two tickets for any evening performance of the 2015 season.

The 2015 performances include the following productions:

  • My Fair Lady (July)
  • The Little Mermaid (July & August)
  • Young Fankenstein (August & September)

Hailed as one of the greatest musicals of all time, the classic musical, MY FAIR LADY, is the timeless story of Professor Henry Higgins (played by “The Nanny’s” Charles Shaughnessy), a crotchety, middle-aged bachelor and phoneticist and Eliza Doolittle, the poor, Cockney flower girl, who becomes part of his experiment in order to transform herself into a “lady.” The story, based upon George Bernard Shaw’s Pygmalion, features a book and lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner and music by Frederick Loewe.

In a magical kingdom beneath the sea, a beautiful young mermaid named Ariel longs to leave her ocean home to live in the world above. Based on the classic Disney animated feature, Disney’s THE LITTLE MERMAIDis a splashy musical extravaganza. Prepare to be swept away by all of the songs you remember from the film and be delighted by new ones written by Oscar-winning Disney tunesmith Alan Menken. This under the sea musical is spectacular fun for the whole family!

From the creators of the record-breaking Broadway sensation The Producers comes this monster of a new musical, YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN. A wickedly inspired re-imagining of the Frankenstein legend, based on Mel Brooks’ classic comedy masterpiece film, the story follows bright young Dr. Frankenstein as he attempts to complete his grandfather's masterwork and bring a corpse to life. YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN is a scientifically proven, monstrously good time at the theatre.
