Item Description

See the Legends of Motown at Foxwoods Resort Casino's Grand Theater on Saturday, September 19th!

Consisting of original members Jermaine Jackson, Tito Jackson, Jackie Jackson and Marlon Jackson, The Jacksons put on an amazing show that includes all their mega-hits as well as hits made famous by the 5th Jackson; the iconic Michael Jackson.  They are among the first groups of black American performers to attain a crossover following and made history in 1970 as the first recording act whose first four singles reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, with their songs “I Want You Back”, “ABC”, “The Love You Save” and “I’ll Be There”.  They are undisputed as one of the greatest Pop and Motown super groups in the history of music.

For over forty-five years, The Commodores have remained a force in the music industry. They are one of the greatest Motown and R&B/Funk artists of all time having sold over 75 million records and recorded a string of monster hits including, “Brick House”, “Easy”, “Machine Gun”, and “Sail On”. The group had massive tours in the late 70’s and early 80’s and won their first GRAMMY Award for the multi-platinum smash single and LP “Night Shift” in 1986.

The Temptations became one of the most successful Motown groups in the world with Dennis Edwards entering the group as lead singer in July 1968.  Edwards led the group through its psychedelic, funk, and disco periods; two of the Temptations songs he appears on, Cloud Nine (1968) and Papa Was a Rollin' Stone (1972), won GRAMMY Awards. Edwards was the lead singer on many or the other Temptations hits including “I Cant’ Get Next To you”, Ball of Confusion”, “Psychedelic Shack” and “My Girl”. Known for their choreography, distinct harmonies, and flashy wardrobe, the group was highly influential to the evolution of soul music having sold tens of millions of albums and achieving fourteen R&B number-one singles.
