Item Description
Little Seed Gardens, a 97-acre family-run, certified organic farm in the town of Chatham, is committed to agricultural practices that protect land and human resources, build biological diversity, and produce quality food for our local communities. Their food is grown without synthetic insecticides, fungicides, herbicides or fertilizers. A weekly share contains 7-10 items/bunches, and over the season includes 50 different varieties of vegetables and herbs. The spring starts out with light tender greens, lots of salads and baby roots. As the soils heat up in early summer, seasonal specialties like sugar snap peas, summer squashes and baby carrots begin to be added to the shares. High summer finds us with tomatoes, green beans, peppers, cucumbers, eggplant and fresh onions. The fall brings heavy roots, hearty greens, and winter squashes and crisp lettuces. Pickup time is every Tuesday from 4:00-6:30 pm. www.littleseedgardens.com
