Item Description
If you have been to Third Man Records then you know that they take music pretty seriously. So when we asked them for a donation, they pulled out all the stops! Included in this gift set are the following records:
- Jack White - "High Ball Stepper" - The lead single off of Lazaretto was only ever released as a promotional item directly to radio stations. Fans scrambled to locate copies and many were put in the position of having to persuade local DJs to part with the record. It is estimated that less than 300 copies are in circulation worldwide.
- H.C. Gatewood b/w Ernia Cunningham - "The New Birth" / "You Better Run" The first 78 RPM record released by TMR. It's a companion piece to The Rise & Fall of Paramount Records Vol. 1 and has never been formally released but instead given away at a few events nationwide. Extremely elusive.
- Elvis Presley - "My Happiness" / "That's When Your Heartache Begins" The second 78 RPM record released by TMR. This is the limited edition version of the first recordings ever made by Elvis Presley. These were made available for one day on Record Store Day 2015.
- Various Artists - The Great Gatsby OST (2xLP) Hand assembled at Third Man Records. Laser-cut birch jacket with aluminum spines. First ever commercially available platinum and gold records. For more info on the Great Gatsby set, check out this link.
