Item Description

The winner will receive four (4) tickets to each of the four (4) movies in the Mob Noir Film Series, plus one (1) alcoholic beverage per ticket.

Evoke a time of classic Mob Noir films with The Mob Museum’s summer movie series, Speakeasy Cinema. Each movie night will include short presentations providing historical context and surprising, behind-the-scenes tidbits on the film. Tickets include one alcoholic beverage. Popcorn available for purchase.

July 1: The Captive City, 1952. Small town newspaperman, investigation and local bookie operation, the movie was shot entirely in Reno.

July 8: Dark City, 1950. Gamblers, out-of-town sucker and crooked poker game, this was Charlton Heston’s first major Hollywood starring role.

July 15: 711 Ocean Drive, 1950. Bookies, betting, murder and gangsters, the movie features an exciting action scene at Hoover Dam.

July 22: Hoodlum Empire, 1952. A former gangster, who became a hero during World War II, comes home to face a new battle against the Mob.

Admission is $19.95 for adults ages 18 and over with special pricing for children, seniors, military, law enforcement, Nevada residents, and teachers.
