Item Description
Geneva Day School Summer Camp Young Children is a fun place to be! We are a recreational day camp and offer a variety of age-appropriate activities in a safe and supportive environment. Children aged two through six may register for one-week sessions or for a total of nine sessions. Our trained camp counselors provide guidance and encouragement as children play and learn in our extensive outdoor play area or cool indoors facilities.
Campers enjoy water play, arts and crafts, group games, stories and cooking, plus playground fun on our fabulous equipment. Weekly special events include flannel stories, My Gym Fun & Fitness, and science experiments. As a certified Maryland Green School, Geneva encourages a variety of environmental activities and using the outdoors as our extended classroom. Weather permitting, we also may take nature/creek walks weekly, since we are adjacent to the Cabin John Trail/creek/watershed. We will be actively tending our butterfly, storm management and seasonal gardens. We are home to abundant wildlife and we will have daily opportunities to observe local birds small mammals and others.
The ratio of staff for children over three years is a minimum of 1 adult to 8 campers. For two-year old children, the ratio is 1 adult to 6 campers. Our lead staff have experience and training in early childhood education. They, too, enjoy the recreational aspects of camp as they involve your children in many fun summer activities.
Item Special Note
Camp runs from 6/1-8/7.
