Item Description
This tour leaves from Virgin Islands Ecotours' Frenchtown Marina location in St Thomas' busy scenic Charlotte Amalie’s Harbor.
After a brief kayaking and safety lesson, you'll board your colorful two-person easy to paddle, sit-on-top kayak, and begin your adventure to the Historic Hassel Island, part of Virgin Islands National Park. A ten-minute paddle brings you to the Creque Marine Railway, the world's oldest surviving marine rail & slipway. It is currently undergoing a million dollar face lift renovation and offers many interpretive signs with historic photos, illustrations and information. Learn about the history and significance of this unique historical site from your Professional Guide.
Depending upon your interests and the weather conditions, your guide will show you other historical sites from a collection of many before paddling over to a protected cove inside the National Park. There you will be able to relax in the shade, cool off with a swim at the beach or snorkel over a coral reef. Your guide will snorkel with you and identify and explain to you about the colorful marine life. Your adventure concludes with a ten-minute paddle back to the marina. This group activity is a great value for 8 people, so bring your friends and family!
