Steve Kennedy is committed to painting in the "plein air" tradition. He calls his style "painterly realism". A Paier College of Art graduate and year round Cape resident since 1981, Kennedy's work has won numerous awards and is in many public and private collections, including the permanent collection of the CCMoA, Cahoon Museum of American Art, New Haven Paint and Clay Club, Albany Institute of History and Art, and Seamen's Bank. He's represented by Kiley Court Gallery, Provincetown, MA; Left Bank Gallery, Wellfleet, MA, Art Essex Gallery and the Maritime Gallery at Mystic Seaport in CT. He is a member of the Cape Cod Plein Air Painters, the CAC in Chatham and NSAA, Gloucester, MA.
