Following college, she joined a local rock band and began learning jazz music. From this experience, she learned how to play as a pop musician. After many years of traveling, writing and performing music, and producing a CD through her own label, she attended Belmont University, where she graduated with a Master's Degree in Piano Performance and Music Education.
