This lovely Iron Horse Russian Cuvee 2006 has been donated from a private cellar, and is unavailable in stores. It is a sweet sparkling wine from a famous Sonama vineyard. The wine maker suggests that it be paired with rich foods such a foie gras, as well as sweet and sour sauces and anything prepared with exotic spices, including curries and chilies. Or for a more casual afternoon, it is the perfect complment to a BLT. Or, simply add a few pomegranate seeds to the flute and forget about food altogether... This Russian Cuvee was the toasting wine at the Regan and Gorbachev summits!
