Item Description
Enjoy cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and dogsledding, plus accommodations and gourmet dining at historic Gunflint Lodge near the end of the Gunflint Trail, for four nights and five days.
Enjoy a lakeside fireplace cabin for four nights. Breakfasts, lunches, and dinners are served in the main lodge daily and are included in your package. Also included are cross-country ski and snowshoe rentals to enjoy on miles of groomed trails. You are also invited to enjoy two dogsled rides during your stay at Gunflint, plus all our guided naturalist programs.
A vacation to the Gunflint highlands of northern Minnesota is unique. The area is remote and pristine, and it abounds with deer, moose, eagles, beaver, and much more. Our northwoods, just six hours north of the Twin Cities, continues to exist in a time of urban sprawl and expanding suburbs. Words alone cannot do it justice, and the only way to understand the Gunflint area is by experiencing it first-hand. Here at Gunflint, moose encounters and deer sightings are more common than a visit by your neighbors.
Item Special Note
This package is available by reservation from January 1 through April 6, 2016. The winning bidder will be required to make arrangements directly with Gunflint Lodge. Because the lodging facilities are often fully booked, especially in peak times, plans should be made and dates reserved early. Additional fees such as sales and room tax are not included.
