Join the Lion's Roar Foundation in supporting Against the Stream's efforts to complete their center in San Francisco. Against the Stream has donated this t-shirt and tote to the Foundation to assist with our fundraising efforts and we'd like to return the favor by suggesting you visit their site and consider supporting them! Such a wealth of good dharma to get behind.
Against the Stream says of its fundraising campaign, "Our original goal was $30,000: that's what it would take to close the gap in what we've already raised and the actual estimate for the renovation. Of course, our real need is much more - we'll have set-up costs, rent, and any unforeseen increase in our construction costs. Over the last two years we've raised over $160,000 towards the opening of this center."
Against the Stream Buddhist Meditation Society was founded by Noah Levine, author of Dharma Punx, Against the Stream, The Heart of the Revolution, and Refuge Recovery to make the teachings of the Buddha available to all who are interested. It wishes to create and sustain communities of healthy, accountable, wise and compassionate people from every walk of life. It welcomes people from all racial, economic, sexual, social, political and religious backgrounds and believe that the path of awakening is attainable by all and should be available to all. Against the Stream strives to create a safe environment for all who go to practice.
