Item Description
Our newest high precision finish boring tool kit offers an enormous boring range with just one boring head! Thanks to a new insert holder, as well as carefully selected accessories, the latest “ready to go” KAISER tool kit enables precise boring in the diameter range of Ø.700"-6.000". The handy foam-inlay carrying case keeps the contents neatly organized – but more importantly keeps the precision components protected when not in use. Purchasing the kit provides considerable savings over what the boring head and accessories cost when ordered separately.
The foundation of the kit is the versatile KAISER 112 EWN 2-50XL finish boring head, featuring the modular KA6 connection to adapt to almost any spindle configuration. It features dial adjustment precision of .0002”/Ø, and the Vernier scale allows for fine adjustment to .00005”/Ø. The center-mount steel boring bars & corresponding screw-on insert holders permit boring from Ø.700”-3.150”, and are coolant-through with a max pressure of 300 PSI. To achieve Ø3.150”-6.000” range, simply switch to the outboard insert holders that clamp to the side of the head, and insert the coolant nozzle into the center of the head for direct coolant delivery to the cutting edge. Those very same insert holders may also be assembled in reverse to permit back boring. Additional accessories offer options for fine balancing, OD turning, and chamfering.
A 10-pack of carbide coated TC11 inserts with a .016 nose radius are included – our recommended choice for fine boring general steel & cast iron. A CAT40 shank adapter is also provided so the boring head & kit can immediately be used.
