2015 NFL Alumni Connecticut Chapter Celebrity Golf Classic

The NFL Alumni/CT Chapter is delighted to be hosting its  9th Annual Charity Golf Classic on Monday, October 5th, 2015 at The Country Club of Darien. We are very pleased to report that the proceeds from the past eight have been distributed to many worthy charities in the local area. Some of those included: The First Tee of Connecticut, The Umbrella Club, Circle of Care, CT Special Olympics, Juvenile Diabetes of CT, The Boys and Girls Club of Greenwich, Chappaqua Troop 1 Boys Scouts of America, Standing Tall, Fairfield County Sports Commission, Association to Benefit Children (Cody Gifford’s House and Cassidy’s Place), The National Football Foundation-Fairfield Chapter, Giants in the Community, Kids in Crisis, the Appalachia Service Project, and The Fairfield County Interscholastic Athletic Conference (FCIAC), STAR Inc., Darien YMCA etc. All charities selected were specifically to benefit children.

We are delighted to have Darien Sport Shop return as presenting sponsor as well as Tiffany & Company, Blaze-In, Metro Business Systems, Stamford Hospital,, Beach House Café,  Roosevelt Cross, Baywater Inc., Natural Gas Partners and The Umbrella Club.

The NFL Alumni's motto is “Caring for Kids”, and the net proceeds will go to causes that are youth oriented, serving our area. The NFL Alumni Charity Golf Tournament will be a one-day, 18-hole team scramble. Each foursome will be playing with an NFL Alumnus, and the event will include breakfast, lunch, cocktails and an awards dinner. The winning team will advance to the Super Bowl of Golf, the NFL Alumni’s National Championship Golf Tournament, which will be held in the spring of 2016 at a top rated West Coast golf resort. They will compete against the winners of the other 30 Chapter Tournaments for the Super Bowl of Golf Ring.
