Item Description
22" X 28" Giclee Canvas Print of 2006 Kentucky Derby winner Barbaro by photo realist thoroughbred artist Robert Clark. This painting depicts Barbaro in full stride en route to winning the Derby by six-and-a-half lengths. At the time, this was the largest winning margin since Triple Crown winner Assault in 1946, and all the more remarkable given that jockey Edgar Prado did not use the whip and ask for his top speed. Of note, LAWYER RON, well placed early, raced between foes around the first turn, was steadied entering the backstretch, and continued within striking distance until the stretch when he tired.
