Item Description
Jewelry that's designed to remind. Cast from an actual pencil, this timeless brass piece by Metta Metalworks is a subtle yet poignant reference to the impermanence of everything. The pencil is cast from solid brass and oxidized to a worn antiqued finish.
Each piece comes packaged in a colorful amulet pouch made by Buddhist Monks at a monastery in Nepal.
When asked about the inspiration for her work, Kathy Cherry says "There are so many powerful images in Buddhism and the teachings. I wanted to find ways to remember and incorporate them into my day to day life so I did what has always come naturally to me, I made something. It's jewelry that's designed to remind."
Details:
Necklace is 26" long with spring closure. Casting is 2". The box chain is brass plated with an oxidized silver finish.
