Susan has authored 10 award-winning books - her most recent book is the top seller in the cooking section on Amazon. Originally from the Pacific Northwest, Susan has lived for many years in Normandy where she operates the world-renowned cooking school, On Rue Tatin.
Susan has long ties with the French-American Chamber of Commerce of the Pacific Northwest and in August 2015 gave presentations on her latest book, In a French Kitchen, in Seattle and Portland.
She graciously supports this fundraiser by offering that the winning bidder can spend a day with her in her 15th century home and professional kitchen in Louviers, which is in Normandy; the city is just 30km from Rouen and 103km from Paris. Her home is in a lovingly-restored convent in the center of town, directly across the street from the Gothic Church of Notre-Dame de Louviers. For a day, you'll enjoy this unique ambiance and inspiration for cooking classes in Susan's state-of-the art kitchen. You'll enjoy a meal that you have prepared; you'll dine in the 12th century dining room or in the flower-filled front courtyard, depending on the weather.
This is a rare opportunity, not available except through this fundraiser, and is valued at $500. The winning bidder is invited to share the experience with a friend or even a small group (your companions will pay the retail value). Optionally, consider using your personal day with Susan at the beginning or end of a group cooking class or other experience On Rue Tatin in beautiful Louviers.
Use your certificate for the unique one-day experience within a year of the auction date (i.e., by Nov. 20, 2016); transportation to Louviers and programs at On Rue Tatin to be paid separately. For adults over; 21+.
