Item Description
The collection includes some beautiful thimbles from all over the world. There is a set of four thimbles: Ireland, Snowdonia North Wales, Scotland and London's "Big Ben" British made bone china. Three have gold trim. One thimble is an iris, the other is a paquerette flower. This set was issued in 1983.
A vintage Royal Worcester fine bone china thimble. Hand-painted gold bands at the top and the bottom. On the reverse side is a sprig of grapes and the artist's signature, J. Owen with two grapes above. (c.1970's). In excellent condition with no damage to note.
A very pretty porcelain thimble from German Bavarian firm of Bareuther Waldsassen, fine pottery and dinnerware producers since 1866. It is a full wrap illustration with bright colors and is maker marked inside. In excellent condition.
IBIS Aviero Portugal thimble in their famous 'finch and cherry blossoms' pattern. Gold trim around the bottom.
Two pristine "Artists of the World" DeGrazia limited collector thimbles-named and numbered. Beautiful depictions of Ted Ettore DeGrazia's creations-white porcelain trimmed in gold. Vintage item from the 1970s: "Saguaro Dance" #553 and "Little Prayer" #824.
Alaska Forget me not; Nevada City; Country charm of Oregon; Barcelona Cahtedral; Spanish bullfight; silver abalone; Mt. Shasta, CA; Seul Choix Pt.-Gulliver; set of four-New Mexico; are also included in the collection.
There are sixty-nine (69) thimbles in the display showcase that has a glass door. All are in good or excellent condition.
