Item Description

You can enable a Lynnfiield High School student to receive a Lynnfield Art Guild $500 Scholarship for a fine arts college of their choice, if you fund this item!

Just like the Marjorie Gershaw family did sending three students on to develop their skills including Jonah Ruecker (picutured on this page with his mom at the Tricentennial Parade.)

Pauline Bacon also has a memorial scholarship in her name. She was a popular accomplished instructor from the guild for decades and the LAG President in 1984.

Funding this item in full allows you the option to name the scholarship, either 'in memory of' or' in honor of' your loved one or local artist or sponsor. (LAG can always name it too, up to the winning bidder.)

Awards are decided April, 2016 and awarded in May, 2016. Donors will be invited, and mentioned in the publicity.

Pictured here is 2014 scholarship award winner from Lynnfield Art Guild: Jonah Ruecker's pen and ink cityscape. Jonah went on to study mechanical engineering at Mass. College of Art. Help another student this year pursue his/her dream career. We have only been able to help one each year and we have many more than one who want to go on in art and design!

Thank you in advance for this special bid. Today's artists are tomorrow's future.

Item Special Note

Pen and Ink of cityscape is by last year's Gershaw Scholar Jonah Ruecker. This work does not come with the scholarship, all of the funds go directly to pay for schooling. Thanks so much for considering this bid value.

See Karen Duggan (781-334-7047) or Dr. Frank Colombo from the Art Guild for more info. Applications are available at the Lynnfield High School guidance office for the one Gershaw Scholarship. Marjorie Gershaw was a founding member of the guild and her family (son and daughter in photo) came to visit us at the Sunrise Home Show where many of the Lynnfield Art Guild members showed their work.

Donors receive newsletters and invitations to our regular shows and events.
