Item Description

THIS ITEM BELONGS TO OUR TOWN COLLECTION-

THE BID IS FOR LOAN ONLY - in a municipal space - sponsor a pop up display! Optional - loan bidder will receive acknowledgement on the piece. Winning bidder does receive a "5 x 7" color reproduction framed for a thank you for enabling the public to see it professionally featured near Lynnfield Center where the Old Burying Ground is.

Watercolor, measuring 9" x 12" in a 15" x 19" wood frame, under glass.

Here is one of the pieces which graced our July 2nd Lynnfield 200th show at the 1714 Meeting House.

LAG Artist Hedi Sanni, has studied with Danvers watercolorist, Jack Jones and Lynn’s Pauline Bacon and has been painting in earnest for the last 15 years.  Her works include local scenes and places she has visited that have evoked particular interest wherein architecture and finely-detailed elements become front and center in the composition. In Old Burial Ground  the dynamic look of the town square is seen from an unusual perspective featuring the Meeting House and Commons as a backdrop for the centuries old headstones during  the vibrantly colorful fall season. After the gold, orange and red  leaves have fallen from some of Lynnfield’s venerable old trees they lovingly hug the resting place of some of the town’s earliest founding families, now carpeted under the rich hues of the season’s finery.

A matching piece depicting the church and bell in the center is on another page, you may bid on them separately and win them both or bid on one.

This is a great addition to a home or office anywhere where one wants to remember a timeless place with lots of hard earned history and peace and quiet.

Hedy’s academic background includes a BA degree in Fine Arts History, an MFA in Education and a Certificate in Museum Studies, all earned at Tufts University School of Liberal Arts and Sciences.

At the Guild, Hedy is membership co-chair with Jane Booras.  Her sense of hospitality and graciousness make everything seem effortless, but like most of our artists, she is a hard worker.  She and Jane Booras have made it possible for past membership chairs, Ginny Dodwell and Lorraine O’Brien to spend more time painting and focus on the exhibit space at the local banks for the guild and area artists.
