Homewood Museum (1801). This National Historic Landmark, home to Charles Carroll Jr., is one of the country's finest Federal period houses. It provided the architectural vocabulary and name for The Johns Hopkins University's Homewood campus.
Evergreen Museum & Library (1858). Home to Baltimore's B&O Garrett family, this 48-room Gilded Age mansion on 26 landscaped acres is filled with Asian and post-Impressionist art, rare books, and Tiffany glass, and is on the National Register of Historic Places.
