Item Description

Distinct for its silver-chain stringing the Tigerwood Abacus Mala from The Barber's Daughters is also designed with four silver kitten ball guru bead spacers at 27-bead intervals. Whether used in the hand or worn on the neck the combination of silver chain and sectioning provides for exceptional bead-play, the beads' movement on the chain.

Malas are an ancient meditation tool, used to count and follow your breaths, chants, or prayers. They focus and bring attention to the object of our meditation, formless or otherwise.

As founder and jewelry creator Gisele Theriault says "The Barber's Daughters create content jewelry - jewelry with meaning, message and purpose. Engraving words of inspiration into semi and precious metals can be used as grounding agents or touch stones. In a world overrun by sensory overload, its easy to forget our 'whole' self. The inspiration of The Barber's Daughters is to provide tools for people to connect to their intangible beauty and strength. The inspiration is to create work that helps us shift our thinking from our head to our heart where we make better decisions."

Details:

Each mala comes with 108 10mm Tigerwood beads, four silver kitten ball guru beads at 27-bead intervals, and a silk tassel.

The 10mm Abacus Mala is approximately 54" including the tassel.
