Kick off your three-day, two-night adventure by checking into the Hummingbird Cottage at the historic Bear Valley Inn, a truly local experience! This charming inn is a green certified business and is a perfect launching pad for exploring Point Reyes National Seashore by foot or bike. Built in 1910, the B&B is surrounded by 150 miles of beautiful trails just waiting for your exploration. The main visitor center at Bear Valley is within walking distance, and the beautiful secluded beaches are an easy 15-minute drive away. Your private cottage will provide you with that home away from home feeling, where you can relax and enjoy the benefits of country living. This unit has a full kitchen for your use and is stocked with complimentary coffee, tea, cream, milk, granola and yogurt. Owners Amanda and Ken Eichstaedt would be delighted to give you the local scoop on what’s happening, what not to miss and more.
Your trip also includes a local culinary tour, locavore picnic and a look at seven gourmet hot-spots for two with chef and local insider, Elizabeth Hill of West Marin Food & Farm Tours. You and your guest will indulge your senses in the Flavors of West Marin, a behind-the-scenes tour of West Marin’s best offerings including wine, cheese, breads, pastries, organic produce, grass-fed meats, and oysters.
