Item Description
Multi-Wood Serving Bowl. Bowl for mixing and serving salad made with osage orange, tulip poplar, walnut, chestnut, cherry, and oak. Just rinse out with water and then dry it with a paper towel. Don't use soaps for cleaning. As a salad prep, salad oil will keep it "seasoned".
Artisan: Peter Lane
Raised in Poughkeepsie, NY in a Quaker family and watched my dad making things in the lathe. Peter graduated from Westtown School, then attended Haverford College for engineering. Peter returned to Westtown School as a math teacher and stayed at Westtown for 39 years. He lead the Upper School Wood Shop program for 5 years.
Peter has made bowls and built wood-canvas canoes. He is married with two children and 4 grandchildren, now living at Crosslands, Kennett Square, and happily use their very good wood shop.
