Item Description
The Greater Chambersburg (Pennsylvania) Chamber of Commerce released a print of "The Ransom of Chambersburg," a painting which commemorates the 150th anniversary of the Civil War ransom and burning of Chambersburg, PA. The chamber commissioned historical artist Jeff Trexler to depict the scene, in collaboration with historical consultant Ted Alexander, to commemorate Brig. Gen. John McCausland's ransom demand on the courthouse steps in Chambersburg on July 30, 1864.
A total of 150 signed and numbered prints were originally available for purchase for $100. This limited edition print comes framed.
